I'm thinking of making a longer table to get 22" travel with my Davinci, until I can afford a 2' x 3' machine. As a banjo maker, I'd like to be able to handle a fingerboard and neck carve in one set-up. Have to index it now & do it in 2 set-ups.

So I'm wondering what size linear guide would be appropriate for this- 15mm, 20mm, 25mm..? Or maybe I need larger rails to cope with the longer length?

I will probably have to make some sort of roller support for the table at either extreme of travel, seems lot a lot of cantilever. Or does anyone think the rails would be adequate to handle that torque?
