Default Wiring setup for sewing machine motor?

Do I need to insert the foot pedal wire to the control box in order to get it to work or will it be possible to just short-circuit some of the contact points with a jumper?

Depends on the type of motor, the older ones were simple Universal motors, now BLDC are usually used.

I have the csm2000. I tried to get it to run, but it will only do a few rotation at a very low speed and then it stops up. I need to swich of and on the 0/1 button in order to have it to run again, but then the same thing happens.
    What may be wrong?

Have you replaced the foot-pedal with a potentiometer?
    How is it wired?
The motor must have the pedal or pot in the off position to "ARM"...this is the safety interlock system....
Then you can adjust the pedal/pot to desired speed..

I think it depends on the type of motor the sewing machine has.

Are you still using a machine with pedals? If it is an old machine, you aren’t going to find easily the broken elements. In fact, it is another era already and we have to face the new products that appear on the market.
