    Default Taig T-Nuts Difference

New to machining and bought a Taig mini lathe to start learning as a hobby

Noticed there are two types of t-nuts holding attachments, one is a square flat and the other is rectangular with a ridge in the center. What’s the difference between them?

I think you already noticed the difference. Both work okay, but I prefer the ones with the ridge; there's more room for threads.

    Thanks Andrew,

Yes the ones with the ridge are much better
