Here is the quick and painless way I did it when I was setting up my Taig's Vertical supports.
Just turn the Dovetail mount for the headstock 90 degrees...
hth,

has anyone come up with a way to rotate the head stock 90 degrees? I was hoping there was a small right angle adapter but i cant find one. I know the Z column rotates but i still need to move in the vertical Z axis when the tool is horizontal. thank you!

thank you! I thought that may be the only way but was worried about the weight of the motor hanging off the end of it. I really enjoy nick carters website but there is so much info i tend to get lost in it. haha.
