    Default Experience with DM542 drives?

    I´m looking for a good and affordable alternative to G540 and need to know if DM542 is a good choise for my Taig mill.

    I like them. Well Longs motor DM542A anyway. 25x microstepping no problems. I think aside from size Gecko are overrated.

    Mine are from Stepperonline. And they are manufactured by Longs under contract. So it appears they are trusted by many.

    I have those and they work well.There are many other parts of my machine I would upgrade before I had any thoughts of changing them.
