    hey,

    i finally finished my upgrade. Now i need to trim the surface. from 0.085 to 0.000 any tool recommented to this job.

    The material i used to do this project:

    1/2 steel plate 19x30
    18, M6 hex screws
    Quarter inch finish plywood
    M6 inserts.

    PS.

    i guess i can't use this tool, Unless i trim the shaft down to 12mm, to make fit ER20 collet #12.

    Any ideas

    I very much doubt you could use this tool even if you manage to fit it in the collet. The spindle would not have enough torque, and the machine itself would not have enough rigidity. Something like 1/2" cutter (or smaller) would be more realistic.

    Surfacing that plywood is not going to result in a very good finish.
    You'd be better off adding some MDF on top and surfacing that.

    Just get a cheap bit like this.

    I'm Thinking of Upgrading my Stepper Motor's to --> Closed Loop Stepper Motor.
    I'm looking at two differen Closed Loop Stepper Motor.

    1. STEPPERONLINE 1 Axis Closed Loop Stepper Motor Kit 2.0Nm 1000CPR Nema 23 Closed Loop Stepper Motor+0-7A 24-50VDC Stepper Driver+2 Extension Cable $106.99

    OR

    2. RATTM MOTOR, Nema23 3.0Nm Closed Loop Stepper Servo Motor 88mm 5A+HSS60 Hybrid Driver CNC Kit $145.99

    Which one would will be a good choice?

    Would appreciate a good feedback.

    It only a 2.0 283.28 Torque(oz.in)

    And the next one up it a (E Series Nema 24 Closed Loop Stepper Motor 4.0 Nm(566.56oz.in) Encoder 1000CPR) Which is better. for $120.00
