Also, all these stepper motors have gears on them, only #4 has a set screw. The others are pressed on. Is there a way to remove these gears without going to a lot of expense
- You could try to remove the gears using a (self made) puller, don't use a hammer!
- A bit of heat could help. Don't over heat or the bearings and stepper coils are gone...
- Cut a slit (Dremel) almost to the axis, then break the gear using a v-shape tool (Nut splitter)
