How many wires are there between the motor and the board? Got any pictures?
I have dismantled some old printers & have some 24 v motors that I want to reuse on some other projects.
The motor in question is attached to a small PCB with 8 wires coming off the board. The wires are named as follows
24v rtn
+24v
24v rtn
+24v
Start/stop
SG
Ref Clock
Gain
Sticker on motor shows 24v 1.6A 19w
I think it is a servo motor as there is no stepping feeling when I rotate the shaft.
Can anyone advise how to attach this to a power supply so that it will run. I want to make a small rock tumbler for my rock mad grandson.
Thanks

No wires attached directly to the motor that are visible. Here is a photo.http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attach...d=387790&stc=1
