    Default TX14207 SCHEMATIC

    Does anyone have a schematic or image that shows or identifies each wiring connection and pin settings for a TX14207 stepper driver?
    Mine has no connectors labeled (ie I do not know which is A+, A-, B+, B-, DC+, ... etc)
    I have attached an image that has been previously posted.

    Hi Norman,

    I had to piece this guy appart a few months ago and wrote down the board schematics. I can send you what I have but it has not been curated at all.

    I found your post trying to figure out what the dip switch do... The X, Y, Z axis have 3,4,5,7 ON; The A axis has 3,4 ON.

    From left to right on the Green 6 screw terminal you have: A-, A+, B-, B+, V+, GND these connect to your stepper and power supply

    The white terminal connects to the through hole labelled ENA, 5V, DIR, 5V, P, 5V and go to the parallel card adapter.

    I also have this TX14207 stepper driver in my 6040 cnc router. The A-axis motor is getting hot just sitting idle so I wanted to try turning down the current but don't know the DIP switches.

    Anyone know how the 7 dip switches are setup?

    Yeah mine is running hot too but it's meant to be like that for holding torque. If you reduce that current you will end up with the axis skipping.

    From my research, unless you can burn yourself on it, it's just fine.

    S1: M1
    S2: M2
    S3: DCY1
    S4: DCY2
    S5: TQ1
    S6: TQ2
    S7: connected to a GAL microcontroller... Not sure yet

    I'll probably leave it alone then.

    Other quirk is that the 4-axis motor has jitter at idle, but only sometimes. Turn it some and it's steady. Turn is some more and it might exhibit this jitter.
    I got the seller to send a new motor and it has the same problem so now I'm thinking the motor driver is bad (TX14207 which uses a TB6560)?

    The other 3 axes do not have this jitter problem (lucky me I guess).

    Not sure what you mean by jitter, I'm not very good in English...

    Mine will find its position very accurately but will stop at a different position (reproducibly) depending on the direction from which it got there...

    Let me clarify this "jitter" on the 4th axis:

    1) the motor is in idle state
    2) but the motor has a very slight movement/rotation left and right around the center/stopped position.

    Again, it's doesn't always do this, and when it does, it's a slight vibration around the stopped position.

    From my searching, this might be due to the micro-stepping when the motor is mid step but I'm not sure. My concern is that the stepper motor controller is bad.

    Adding:
    S7: This reduces the motor current at low speeds i.e. less than about 10 whole steps per second. Makes the motor a run bit nosier but is kinder to the motor, the driver and the power supply.
