I think the seller is not correct.
A local seller sells this hybrid stepper and a drive for it. In the PDF I see holding torque is 86kg-cm which makes 8.45nm but no info about running torque. I asked the seller about this and he said that the running torque is double (16nm). This is the opposite I know about steppers.
What do you think?

The running torque can not exceed the holding torque because it uses the same stepper coils. However, the second coil does not to be used for micro stepping, it can be used to assist the first coil in keeping its position like running in full step. This means no loss in torque when doing micro stepping. The current flow is just enough to keep the position. This could result in lower heat up. But if the stepper needs all its power to keep/reach the position, it will heat up as much as a normal stepper.
