i need advice with appropriate gear ratio

my machine dim. is (2400*1200*250) rack and pinion X Y with gear 2:1 or 3:1 or 5:1 ratio. used for wood, plastic and thin aluminum
i need to choose from to kits
1- 4 Nema 23 425oz 3A 6Hm with 2 power supply 60V 6A
2- 4 Nema 34 651oz 5.6A 3.4Hm with 4 power supply 60V 6A
i need advice please to obtain good torque and speed. all machin built using steel 100*100*3 box

I already told you in the other thread. Choose a gear ratio that gives you between 3/4" and 1" of travel per stepper revolution. The gear ratio will depend on the size of the pinion you're using.
I'd choose the Nema 34 651oz kit, if it were me.

the choice of the right gear may also depends on the size of motor (Nema 23 or 34) due to the max speed after reduction obtained.
i also like you suggest Nema 34 651oz specially for heavy steel gantry but i am confused about gear ratio selection

1- 5:1 ratio(90 teeth-18 teeth)
2- 2:1 ratio (40 teeth-20 teeth)
3- 3:1 ratio (60 teeth-20 teeth)
the pinion on the rack is 28 teeth
