I have a 600 with an enclosure 12and for the most part have been very happy with it. The other day, I was testing a logo cut for a friend (12"x12") and ran into a problem. When the Y carriage is moving such that the Z-axis stepper is moving directly under the opening in the enclosure for the vacuum hose, it sometimes pinches the hose, binding, and cause some lost steps (mostly in the Y-axis). I can prevent this by watching the cut and moving the hose when necessary, but has anyone come up with a solution that just works? It's too bad the enclosure isn't about an inch taller. I have the aluminum plate installed along with 3/4" MDF strips between the T-slots. Material was only 1/4" ply for the test, but the spindle was still high enough to pinch the hose.
