    Default Blown up VFD and Spindle

    I have a Rattm 2.2 KW 220vac 3Phase 400Hz 6Amp Asynchronous spindle motor.
    I want to use my Mitsubishi FR-D720S-100SC-E8 VFD

    I have already destroyed my 10 year old Spindle motor and Inverter (I don't know why) ??

    I'm in fear of destroying my new setup, I have the full documentation for the VFD but I'm getting very confused.

    Here's what I have so far. I don't want to blowup my new arrangement so it would be great if anyone give me the correct settings for my setup,

    P0=4
    P1= 400hz
    P2=120hz
    P3=400hz What does Base frequency mean.
    P4=400Hz
    P5=200HZ
    P6=100Hz
    P7=5
    P8=5
    P9=5
    P15=5
    P18=400
    P19=8888
    P24=9999
    P55=50
    P56=10amp
    P71=0 ?? Applied motor type.
    P84=120Hz ??? I cannot set higher than 120Hz. I thought this should be 400HZ
    P161= Confused.

    Please help.

    Many thanks

    George

    It takes less then 30seconds to damage a Highspeed Spindle if the Parameters are set incorrectly.

    Do you have a PDF of you VFD Drive manual if you have post it here, I may have it I will have to look and see?

    Base Frequency is very important if the motor being used is 400Hz this normally must be set to the 400 some VFD Drive are set a little different and the Base Frequency can mean the incoming 50Hz or 60Hz so the instructions for the VFD Drive is very important, on how you interpret it.

    Thanks.
    I will take look, are you controlling the VFD Drive from the KeyPad or Remotely with your control.

    Thanks
    It takes a long time to go through this manual to see where the problem is, so it will take a while, if we can't solve the 400Hz problem then this VFD Drive will not be suitable for your Spindle

    I have gone through and there is not a way listed to set the motor rated frequency to 400 it has a max range of 120 which is not suitable for your spindle Mitsubishi may be able to help, if not you will need a VFD Drive that is for 400Hz

    P.1=120= P.18=400
    P.2=100 (or 120 for minimum speed)
    P.3=400
    P7=6 ( Adjustable)
    P8=6 (Adjustable)
    P.13=20
    P.18=400
    P.19=220
    P.22=120
    P.55=400
    P.71=3
    P.80=2.2
    P.81=2
    P.82=8.5
    P.83=220
    P.84=400 ??? ( if this can't be set to 400 this will be a problem contact Mitsubishi as they may have a way to change it)

    Pr.96=11 (Auto Tuning this can only be used if all the other Parameters have been set)

    Pr.800=20 (For V/F Control)

    Pr.800=30 (For Vector Control)

    Pr.161= (Can be used for different KeyPad Functions like Pot=1

    It appears that you VFD Drive is only suitable for 50Hz / 60Hz motors.
