Default Anyone used ATO, Jianken, or SycoTec/Kavo High Speed Spindles?

    Hello all,

I've narrowed down my spindle search to essentially the four below. I was hoping that someone could share their thoughts on the three brands and possibly any hands on experience. SycoTec does interest me the most, but the problem is that I have no idea where to buy it from. The other two are Chinese brands of Jianken and ATO, of which I've only seen a couple reviews of Jianken's spindles. I would also be open to suggestions from anyone who knows of a good 1.8 to 2.2 kw spindle that runs at 40,000RPM.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone has dealt with their customer support, as well as any warranty stuff if applicable.

    ATO:
1.8 kW CNC ATC Spindle, 60000 rpm
    https://www.ato.com/1-8-kw-atc-spindle

    Jianken:
    JGL-62 1.8kw 60000rpm ISO10
    https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...69194c4cE0c9Yf

    JGL-62 1.8kw 60000rpm ISo10-ER11
    https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...50554e9704aOxp
    SycoTec(used to be Kavo):
    AC Motor Spindle 4061 AC-CS-TC
    https://www.sycotec.eu/en/product/ac...4061-ac-cs-tc/

And if you're curious about what I'm trying to do, then I think the closest approximation is something like the video below. This guy's work is awesome, and it inspired me to go for making my own machine that uses a high speed spindle.

I recently purchased, and received delivery of, a Jianken JGL 80/2.2-24R-20 ATO spindle. I have not yet set it up as I am building my VFD and Pneumatics enclosures. I can say that I had all my questions, many, answered on and off for close to a year as I narrowed down my search. Payment and delivery was exactly as described, and my recent post purchase questions were all answered as well - only slightly delayed due to closures for the Chinese New Year holiday. I am happy to share my experiences with the spindle once I have all my systems up and running and tested. I realize your spindle is different, but my experience with the company has been excellent thus far.

    Hi,
I have not used any of the spindles listed, although I have good user reports about Jianken products.

I use a 24000 rpm manual spindle by Mechatron Gmbh, and I love it and have used it for years. I really want one of their ATC models:

    ATC-8022-42-HSK25

Its 80mm in diameter, 2.2kW (S1), 2.5kW (S6) to 42000rpm with HSK25 tool change interface. It can still be run from a single phase 230VAC VFD. I really like the tool
interface, HSK tooling is the leading edge in highspeed tool interfaces. Downside is that its expensive......read 5700 Euro!!!! If I had the money I'd get it.....Mechatron Gmbh products are
genuine German quality, its a wonder your eyesight doesn't suffer just from looking at them as my mother warned me about!

Here you can find the Syco Tec spindles https://www.sycotec.eu/en/sycotec-in...s-it-used-for/

Any of the supper high speed spindles have a low service life, so if you need the high RPM expect high maintenance

Good to hear some decent things about jainken. I’ve been considering purchasing an internal grinding spindle from them for high speed small hole grinding. Something around 40krpm or 60krpm

Do you have their email contact or is it on the alibaba?

Apologies for the late reply. Using either the Alibaba or Jianken website email works as they are both the same.
My contact there has been Wafer. Very friendly and helpful.
There office is open again after the holiday break.

I know this post was a while ago, but where you able to get it up and running/cutting chips?
