Small servo or vfd spindle motor for TAIG mini mill

I want to be able to rigid tap tiny holes like below m6 with this machine and have a little more power than stock. It's a tiny machine and I'm hopeful for some advice on my options!

Why rigid tapping? Have you thought about a tapping head, like Tapmatic or Procunier, which would be easier to implement? Tormach has some information on CNC tapping: https://tormach.com/media/asset/t/d/..._0715a_web.pdf

I think there's added weight, and isn't it cheaper to implement rigid taping, hardware otherwise being equal?
