Drawbar and cylinder question
Hi, I am new here.
For my semi-diy bt40 spindle on a 30kw spindle up to 12,000 rpm... I am going with Bevel Spring Washer.
1- I realize some drawbars have spring all the way through the bar. Others have spring half way then a piece of metal then again a second spring to the other end of the bar. Is there a benefit of doing this?
2- How much force do I need in the pneumatic cylinder to push down the draw bar 2000kg, 3k, or 4.5k? *the drawbar is 15mm diameter and the 15mm Bevel Spring Washers are covering about 170mm from the drawbar.
Thank you.
