    Default Vfd YL620-a initial setup

Hello guys..im building my first cnc router and im a bit confused with the vfd format. Most of the threads ive read and vids ive watched show changes made to the PD parameters...

When i powered my vfd for the first time my format is different..it displays P00.00?

Im using the 2.2kw square air cooled spindle. 220v and 400hz...was wondering if anyone has a list of parameter settings for this particular setup? Thanks for your time..

You may have to make some changes but should get you started, you may have to increase the minimum speed Frequency is you get over heating

Hi mactec54. Thank you for the help so far. Im still having issues setting up the yl620-a. Youve forwarded me some initial settings...but when i got to parameter 1101 im only able to enter a value from 0-3, but your initial settings want me to input 220?

Have i done something wrong, or might there be an error in the initial settins list?

    Im running it 220v with a 2.2kw air-cooled spindle.

I think i should do a factory reset to be sure the parameters are correctly entered before i go any farther.

Pls help me reset and replace the parameters...

You should not have to do a reset just post where you have a problem and I may be able to help, there manuals are not very good at explaining the different fuctions

    You may find some of these can be left as 0= not activated ( 1 ) 110v ( 2 ) 220 ( 3 ) 380v

Your model has 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 for some of the Parameter settings if not sure just leave it at 0 which is deactivated

I found this thread googling around for help with my recent YL620-A purchase. I'm trying to figure out how to do the equivalent of 'RUN' and 'STOP' from remote. Any help would be much appreciated.

hello again guys. Due to this covid19 issue, ive had lots of time to work on my creation! I now seem to have an issue with my VFD (yl620-a). i powered it up on the bench many months ago, with mactec54's help, and no issues at the time. now that i have the VFD and spindle (2.2kw 400hz, 2400rpm) wired, i get an "er.01". This is an over-voltage alarm. Ive disconnected the spindle and have the same alarm. Ive done a factory reset on the VFD and went through the parameters again, adjusting to mactec54's recommendations, but still get the same alarm? Any idea what might be the problem?

    Hi Terryble24

Did you manage to get the VFD sorted?

Hi. Mine also same model. But spindle is 8.5A. so I should change P0012 to 8.5A

One more thing when I connect the wire to the spindle connector there are sparks at the connector when I increase the speed of spindle. I have not done any factory reset.

    Why is it that so.
