I am trying to use either the DRV or UPF terminal as my spindle-at-speed signal to LinuxCNC via a Mesa 7i76. When I check across the DCM and DRV or UPF with my meter is reads a an open circuit. I tried wiring it like this and it does not work. Any idea how to wire these? I have PD050=01 and PD051=05 so both should be on when the spindle is running and at speed.
I'm using a 10k resistor instead of the 2k picture. The 7i76 side works if I short the leads that I'm hooking to DCM and DRV together.
Thanks
John

Mine is working. I'll check after work today to see how I ended up wiring it.
I looked at the wiring on my Huanyang Inverter. I have the 24V terminal connected to the FB terminal. Then the DCM & FA terminals are connected to the 7i76. I have the DCM terminal connected to the TB1 Field Power Ground and the FA terminal connected to TB6-10 (This could be any free Field Input terminal.)
This is my HAL setting.
