Hi,
i need to set HDO to ON/OFF, for now without success
what I did up to now :
P6.00 -> 1 (hdo configured as ON/OFF)
P6.01 -> 1 (run)
connected: +24V -> extern resistance (5kOhm) -> HDO
Turning VFD on (RUN), nothing happens. I would expect current through extern resistance. ?
Same effect on two VFDs - so probably I missed some configuration or my understanding of how connecting things is wrong
Tnx

Hi Matec54,
tnx for answer. Unfortunately this is not exactly what I'm looking for.
I'd like to configure the HDO output to behave like an open collector (on/off), pull it up to 24V and feed an extern relay
According to manual, this should work with parameter P6.00 and P6.01, but obviously I'm missing something as it isn't working for me.
Hi matec54,
HDO is an output terminal. Parameter P6.xx

hi matec54
don't know what manual you have. Here a screenshot of mine (page 50).
btw. I never mentionned that I want to switch on/off the drive via hdo

Check it should output without your added voltage if you have the right Parameter set
In the first Post you did, but obvious you mean to do something else with it
You might have fried it, this turns on/off with the VFD Drive, this may only work also if using Remote control and not just the Keypad
Your photo does not show, but I have the GT manuals as they are not a very old VFD Drive, so I would have the same manual as you have no problem with that part

hi,
uploaded photo.
I think it should not be fried. I put 24V over 10kOhm on it. This should definetely not harm open collector. I expect to measure 24V on it, falling to 0V when I start the drive.
Another reason why I think it's not a hardware problem, is that I have same behaviour on 2 VFDs. So I guess there's something missing on my VFDs config.
I tried Keypad and remote via S1. (thanks for the hint). Unfortunately this makes no difference.

Hi,
other relay output already used for different purpose. Getting HDO working as open-collector as described in manual would be perfect.
Meanwhile I use analog output to trigger extern relays. Configured 10V corresponding to 1% of reference frequency. Not first price of elegance, but It's doing what I need.
p.s. I tried also to check HDO (frequency mode) with oscillo - can not see any significant signal. If not both VFDs behaved the same, I would say it's broken.

Hi, Did you ever get a resolution here? I'm having exactly the same problem.
