Takisawa lathe with fuji spindle drive issue
Hello
We have a lathe with a fuji spindle drive. We noticed one day the braking resistors on top of the elect cab glowing red hot while the machine was making parts.
We shut it down then started it the next day. Ran fine for a few months then glowing red hot again and now spindle drive will not power up at all.
We turn the ot fanuc cnc on and get not ready on the screen.
Drive it completely dead.
Anyone have a clue where to look?
Drive model is FMD-15AU-21 11/15kw.

Correct. The alarm 'not ready' is same as having estop pressed.Originally Posted by metalcutting
I assume the not ready is due to the spindle drive not powering up.
Will look to check these items and advise the outcome
