Are you sure it is delta, small three phase motors that use a 415v supply are usually wired star which would allow you to connect as delta for 240v three phase. Dave
Hi, i saved a 5.5kw, 2 pole, 2850rpm, 415v, 10.2 amp motor from the bin at work, its wired delta.
Can i run this as 240v 3 phase on a single phase vfd?
Is this easy to match the vfd?
Many thanks for reading.

Can you post a pic of the motor plate?
Its still dark, after work i will open her up.
Edit;
The wires appear to be not bridged in any way.

It does look like it is delta connected for 415v, it is probably designed to be used with a star delta starter. You can get inverters that will step up to 415v from 240v but they are pricey for a motor that size, they sell for about 1500 GBP in the UK. Dave
Thanks Dave, i may have sell and buy another.
Edit;
It appears to be star delta starter setup, i dont have access to a multimeter until Friday night.
