    Default Huanyang VFD speed control

    Dear All,
I have just bought a Huanyang VFD and I am wiring it. I have a doubt about how to control the speed, I have checked in many forums, but there are a lot of different theories, so I would like to start a new thread trying to clarify this issue.
The speed in the VFD can be controlled with an Analogic input (0-5V or 0-10V according to the settings), instead I would prefer to use one of the digital outputs of my UCBB. So I would like to understand if the VFD has already a RC built in circuit so I can directly wiring my PWM output to the Analogic input of the VFD.
    Thanks

Yes the normal way to connect the 0-10v or 0-5v PWM direct to the VFD for the speed control the connection is VI and ACM for speed control

For On / Off relay switched FWD and DCM connection, this is just a switch connection

There are some Parameters and a Jumper that need to be set as well

No, you can't control it that way.

You need a PWM to Analogue convertor of some kind.
What BOB or interface are you using, if any?
There is also a Mach3 plug-in for the RS485 serial.

There's a plugin for UCCNC as well that uses RS-485.

Said that I would prefer to use the RC filter instead that the plugin, I have read a lot of documentation and examples and it looks like that the VFD has some sort of filter, so using the PWM at high frequency it should be fine. I think this filter can be set using the parameter PD071 of the VFD, did anybody try?

I see PD071 as the response time of the Analogue in, But try it and see what happens! .

    PD071 Analog Filtering Constant

The setting of this parameter is related to the analog responding speed. The higher the value of PD071 is set, the lower the analog responding speed will be.
