Default Huanyang Inverter How to set and wire spindle at speed

I have a Huanyang Inverter. I am planning to install it with my spindle when I have a week off at Christmas. I believe I have all of the wiring figured out except for how to set and connect "spindle st speed" (The output that lets the controller know the spindle is at full rpm).

Does anyone know how to set up the spindle at speed? Also my new spindle is an ATC, is there a "spindle has stopped" output? if so how would I set that up?

The Parameters are PD050 to PD053.
Set to 5 (program reach) as they call it.
Depends on if you use the relay or the open collector transistor output.
    page 19
There is also a At zero Speed.
Setting up is dependent on what you intend doing with the signals and what kind of system you are using.
I have used the At Speed signal for e.g. to register a FIN(ish) signal that hold up the next move until the spindle is at the programmed speed in order that there is not a move into the part until the spindle is up to speed.

Thanks, I saw that but wasn't sure that was right because of the poor translation.

But now I am even more confused. My terminal strip looks like the one on page ten, but the terminal points that are referenced on page 20 (Y1, Y2, and FA, FB, FC) are not on the terminal strip. I cannot find those terminal points anywhere. Nor can I find any other references in the manual to those points.

FA,FB, FC are found on P12, in fact all are shown.
If you have the terminals as per P10 then they all are shown there.
Or do you mean you do not have the same labeling as P10?
Also easy to check the relay contact outputs by checking with a meter on continuity range, set the parameter to pick up the relay and check for the contact closing, you can also usually hear it pick up.

Don't be concerned with Y1 and Y2 use just the Fault Parameter for or if the spindle stops up to speed is something you normally can setup in the control software

But before you need to worry about any of this you will need to set the Parameters for your spindle, for this we need to know what spindle you are using, all the spec's

    Kw=
    Voltage=
    RPM=
    Poles=
    Hz=
    Water cooled or air cooled

Sorry was typing a little to fast. Mean to say that Y1 and Y2 are missing. FA, FB, FC Are present.

The way I am interpreting the manual is that setting PD052 will result in the same output on FA, FB, FC. (Which makes sense to me if used at a fault indicator).

I would set PD050 to 5 (for spindle at speed)
Set PD051 to 2 (For spindle stopped)

I would need these 2 settings so I know when it's safe to change tools. (The spindle is an ATC)

The drive is pre-programmed for the Spindle. It was removed from a working machine. The previous owner upgraded from this spindle (6.6hp) to a larger one.
But it is a Columbo spindle.

I need the "at speed" and "at stop" indicators because the spindle is an automatic tool changer.

Incidentally the Y1 & Y2 refer to the DRV & UPF terminals which are the open collector of an opto isolator and can either be used into a input or to operate a relay up to 24vdc 100ma.
They have a Zero Speed option parameter set to #2.

What is the nature of the controller input for the signals?

Thanks, I see on page 11 as DRV & UPF described as opto-coupled outputs, but how would one know by looking through the manual that these 2 outputs are Y1 & Y2? And does Y1 = DRV, and Y2 = UPF?

The controller board I am using is an Ethernet SmoothStepper from Warp 9 (https://warp9td.com/).

My machine is an older AXYZ, that I was able to pick up quite reasonably because the PC and software was gone.

I removed the AXYZ main board and replaced it with the smoothstepper, and am using Mach 4 as the front end. It all works great. But my current spindle is a manual change unit, and I wanted an ATC because I was spending a lot of time swapping bits for a couple of parts I make.

IIRC DRV is Y1 and UPF is Y2.
If the ESS inputs are a source type and you have to sink the input to common then you can use these sinking outputs directly connected.
Connect DCM to the ESS input common.
