    Default Spindle Replacement

We're looking to replace a blown spindle and controller on an old AXYZ Millenium Router — I think something in the motor shorted and caused the spindle controller board to go too... The old spindle we had was a 3HP 220V 18000RPM ELTE square ER25 spindle—we're hoping to find a replacement spindle that's a lot cheaper than the $1495 replacement that AXYZ sells.

We were doing some pretty heavy aluminum routing on the machine, so we definitely don't want to downgrade our spindle, but it's hard to know if I can trust the specs that are listed on spindles on places like eBay.

Does anyone know a good source where we can get a spindle that we can use with our machine where we can trust the specs they list or any specific spindles that people have experience doing aluminum routing with?

$1595 is not an expensive spindle.
    You have 3 options.

    1) The Elte at $1595

    2) A cheap chinese spindle for $500 https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-2KW-Air-C..._XQ:rk:59:pf:0

    3) A Chinese spindle from a reputable importer for $1000. GMT Air Cooled CNC Spindle 2.2kW 220/380V 18000 RPM High Torque S | Air Cooled Spindles

I've been researching the cheap Chinese spindles and believe that the model number GDZ93x82-3.5 (square body) is legit and the spindle I'll be ordering here in the next day or two.

I'd be interested if you come up with alternatives though...
