Default HSD es 919 Spindle Touch Plate problem

    Hello,

I have a HSD es 919 spindle and i cant seem to get an auto zero touch plate to work. I have one on my other machine with classic Chinese spindle and it works great, but on my HSD the Bit and Chuck don't seem to be grounded.

    Any suggestions?

    It probably has ceramic bearings.

You need to either connect a ground wire to the tool, or use a non electrical touch pad.

Thanks Ger21, you are correct. I didn't know that would be the cause! Thanks again, I am going to look into a non electrical touch pad.
