Question needs help on VFD Size (kW) for 2.2kW Spindle

I'm planning to transition my CNC from a Porter Cable 890 Router to a water cooled spindle. For reference, I've got a 50A 220V single phase receptacle (14-50P I think) installed in my garage.

I'm likely going to go this route for the spindle: GMT Water Cooled CNC Spindle 2.2kW 220V 24000 RPM R | Water Cooled Spindles

    Question #1?
Do I need a 2.2kW VFD or do I need to oversize it to the next step up from 2.2kW?
For reference, I've got a 50A 220V single phase receptacle (14-50P I think) installed in my garage.

VFD options I'd likely go with:

    2.2kW
    Delta VFD-C / Inverter 2.2kW 220V 1 Phase | VFD / Inverters
    Delta VFD-M / Inverter 2.2kW 220V 1 - 3 Phase | VFD / Inverters
    Hitachi VFD / Inverter WJ200 2.2kW 200V | VFD / Inverters

    >2.2kW
    Delta VFD-M / Inverter 3.7kW 220V 3 Phase | VFD / Inverters

    Question #2:
    Delta -M vs. -C ....what's the difference?

    Question #3:
Delta vs. Hitachi .....thoughts on which is the better brand, more easily configured, easier to connect to Mach3 for speed control, more reliable?

    Thanks.

If the VFD Drive is Rated for Single Phase use, then you can use the same KW Rating as the Spindle, if it is a 3 Phase VFD Drive then you need it to have up to ( 2 Hp ) larger capacity this is the minimum, don't listen to sales people they well sell you what ever they have
