What settings on Huanyang inverter to control rpm from software????

Hello!

I have a Huanyang HY01D523B, with a 1,5kw spindle.
Im trying to set up the inververter that I can control the rpm from my CNC program Estlcam.
I´ve been searching everywhere for info but I cant find any.

I have connected everything as I think it should be: ACM (from inverter) to GND on controller card (Estlcam interface), and VI (from inverter) to 0-10v on the controller card.

But what settings do I need to do on the inverter, to make it all work?

PD001 = 1 External terminal.
Also close the FWD or REV PLC input.

The VFD has 6 multi function inputs operated by a contact closure to DCM (COM) they come with default settings but can be changed for up to 32 option settings.
The default FWD/FOR is enable forward run mode.

Not sure what contact closure means (language barrier). Is it when you connect a cable in between the two slots? I’m using the FOR slot for controlling spindle on/off.

Contact closure means close the circuit - switch on - connect together etc.

Because you have to use a Switch or controlled Relay where the Jumper you added between the For and DCM

What is the other white wire doing it should not be there in For

So if you cut the Jumper Wire and put a Switch in the middle that will turn it On / Off if you have the parameters set correct

The on/off is connected through a relay on the controller card (white and black cable).
It worked fine when I didn’t do any short cuts.

You can't do the short cut, connect it back how you had it connected before

DCM & FOR connected to relay on controller card.
ACM & VI connected to GND & 0-10v to controller card interface.

With connections, the spindle on/off is working. But not the rpm control.

So what am I doing wrong here?

Try it purely manual, with a switch or link between DCM and FOR connect a 10k pot across VR, V1 (slider) & ACM.

IS your Breakout Board outputting 0-10v when you change the RPM in the control, just check it with a meter to see that it is working at the Breakout Board

Just got an email from Estlcam. He said the same thing. He also said, make sure you have 12v power supply to the interface card. I didn’t know about that. Estlcam don’t have any manuals or what so ever.
Of course he didn’t write how to connect the power in the terminal.
Guess I have to wait for another couple of days before he replies on that quest.

Do you have any idea of how to connect the 12v? See pic.

The terminal strip pic does certainly does not indicate anything definitive.
Why is there zero support on the product?
I would be very reluctant to obtain anything with no manual or supports etc?

Just got a reply from the manufacturer. See below.
Maybe you’ll understand my frustration:

“Hello,

There should be Vin and GND for external power supply – but I do not manufacture or sell this interface – please ask the seller as I may not be up to date.”

So he is saying to connect to the terminals Vin and GND, which is in your photo, this will then supply your Breakout Board with the needed power for the PWM 0-10v Etc

Yes.
My bad. I thought he was referring to the VFD terminal.
I tried this now but it still didn’t work. I’ll try to measure the 0-10v on the terminal.

The output of the 0-10v on your Breakout Board would have to be setup in your control software as well, make sure this part is all working at the Board level

Is it working? Rpm over estlcam?

I think it is digital pin 5 on arduino.
