Default Wiring up my 2.2kw spindle with fuses

I am wanting to protect my vfd and spindle so I am want to put fuses in the circuit, Would I place the fuses between the VFD and spindle or between the VFD and panel. It is a 220v circuit. And what type of fuses should I use? I have also seen where the cnc should be on the same breaker.....so should I run the 220 to a sub panel then take of the legs for the computer and drive?

Your electrical installation should already have a fuse installed according to your local regulations. No need to add extra fuse, and definitely no fuse between the motor and the VFD. I would also advise you to read the VFD manual. To be honest, I think you should contact a local electrician who can help you out with this. You need also protective earth, otherwise that thing can kill you or somebody else.

Fuses protect the wiring when the devices have problems. A fuse won't really protect the VFD from anything.

Yes you can install a 240v sub panel if you need it closer to your machine, this can supply your 120v /240v machine needs

You need the right size breaker at the service panel for the main 240v supply for the whole machine usually around 20 to 25 amps for the average CNC Router depending on the spindle motor size so your main service panel could have a 30A or more Breaker, and your sub panel would have a Breaker to suit the needs for your machine

The VFD should have it own Breaker in the machine control panel along with a power filter

You can not put anything between the VFD and the Spindle this has to be the correct 4 core shielded cable CF6-15-04 can be used for up to 2.2Kw Spindles, if your Spindle is only 1.5Kw then you would us CF6-07-04
