Angry VFD/spindle start up cross talk with steppers

This is driving me nuts! First time with a VFD ...i can get that to run fin on it own, but when i engage the steppers in mach3 then start the VFD/spindle, the steppers go NUTS until the VFD/spindle is up to full speed! It sounds even worse when i stop the spindle when it breaks to a stop. I unwired the spindle and moved the VFD about 4 feet away from everything and still does it. The cnc steppers work fine otherwise.

    Its a 1.5khz spindle on 110v

Well if the new cable is not correct, it will not solve the problem, for these you need a special cable, here is what you need if this is not what you got

You also have to be able to connect the Shield to Ground at Both Ends, Some snips of how to Ground the Shield

This is the minimum that you need CF6-07-04 from IGUS
