    Default What inverter to use for a 2 phase spindle?

    I have bough an 2 phase spindle from ebay , precise 750w , and i realy didn't find too much information about 2 phase motors .
    If there are some people that are willing to help me with this issue i will be w happy .

    have you measured the resistance of the two coils, found them to be the same, and verified there is no continuity between the two sets of coils?

    Yes. There are 5 wires from motor , 2 have 1.3 ohm and the other two have about 1.28 ohm . The other one is gnd.

    These Spindles have there own special drive, there may be some VFD drives that will run it, but might not be such a good idea, contact the manufacture, these are spendy spindles and need the drive that is made for them

    Two phase motor requires at least 3 conductors, two phases and a neutral with the right phase angle (90deg). or 4 cond. 2 for each phase.
    A 2 phase drive is required. also 10krpm minimum for that motor.

    Ok i get this , and i know there is need of a 2 phase inverter , but where i can buy one?

    I have bought an original inverter and all seems ok , but i saw there is a way with "SCOTT transformer" to adapt the windings form 3 phase to 2 phase motor , so when somebody else hawe same problem , maibe this will hep out .
