You said you "aquired" it? So used out of another machine? I would go through each VFDs PDxxx setting and see what they are set to and write them down. Then, if you can find a manual or instructions check what each setting is. You may be able to find the issue that way. If you simply can't find the info for your spindle, look at the specs of other 220v 3kw spindles and use those settings. Use the lowest amp setting (ie 8.5a vs 10a) if there are different amp models available.
Also, there are a couple of VFD settings (PD001, PD002 in the Haunyang and some other imports.. there may be others or your VFD may be different) that allow control via your driver software, remove control, terminal trimpot etc. If it has been set up to control remotely, the buttons on the VFD may not work. Nothing is wrong, it's just waiting for control of the VFD from a remote source.
