Generate Geometry from Excel/CSV/TXT

Hi. My name is David I'm new here, thanks for having me.

I have just started working at a new company and have been tasked with driving some improvements. They use Bysoft 7/Designer (solidworks). We do a lot of rectangular parts that have to be created then exported as DXF's.

At the moment every rectangular part is drawn.

My last company had SigmaNest software that had an excel import option. I could use an excel file with a list of dimension e.g below. From this information, it would generate the parts. Which was a massive time saver

Part Name X dim Y Dim THK QTY
Part 1 100 100 10 10
Part 2 200 200 10 5
Part 3 300 300 5 5
Part 4 150 150 10 10

Is there anything similar in Bysoft7/Solidworks

Ideally would just convert this information direct to DXF. Or is there a program that can achieve this?

Solidworks has a tool that will automate creating drawings and exporting DXF files. You can set it up to run at night when you aren't using the computer.
