    Default Dxf imported into solidworks

When I import a dxf file into solidworks it comes in as a million little sketches as opposed to curves. These small sketches really do a number on my waterjet machine when I try to cut it out.

Does anyone know how to "clean this up" or prevent it from happening?

    Thanks

When you import go to your settings and import as "one sketch" and not as 3D curves.
Another thing is what is exporting DXF. at least in autocad you can export as a single polyline or break it down. Usually what i do if I'm stuck with a million little lines is I will import the DXF in to one sketch, then make another sketch right on top of it and draw it out myself.
