Milling an angle chamfer around slot with ballnose mill
Started using solidcam in addition to solidworks becouse it was confident and now i have run into an issue. I have 40 mm ball mill and pretty old Mori Seiki MV-65 machine. Main issue txt files that get post processed are too large(over the memory capacity of the machine) is there any way to make the toolpath files smaller?

Check to see if Solidcam will output arcs when calculating tool path, otherwise you'll have to convert them yourself.
this tool path was easy to convert. This is the first slot:

I too am a fan of arcs in the toolpath.
It made big differences for me with 3d machining injection mould tooling
I've also found that the machines run smoother (particularly at high feeds) and also finishes improved from not being faceted.
If it helps for future reference, it's worth considering getting an old pc to act as a slave computer which could then drip feed the code to the machine as needed.
