photo in Solid Edge 2D Drafting

Hello, I have just started to use Solid Edge 2D Drafting and was opening up a dwg file that has lines, circles, etc. but also has an image (picture). The line, circles, etc. all show up but the image does not. Can Solid Edge 2D Drafting open up this type of file with an image? I can get Solid Edge to open up an image but not in a dwg file.
