Default Milling part few mm smaller than it's real size

    Hi!

I'm new to machining and CAM. What I want to to:

Make part in SolidWorks 1:1 size
Mill part 2mm smaller than its 1:1 size.
Spray part with primer, up to 3mm.
Mill part to it's 1:1 size.

So.. Using SolidWorks CAD ja CAM what are the right steps to to it.
Other thing is probing. Make 2 holes for that or one corner and two sides that will on the same size from the beginning?

U can add an allowance in - (less than 0) U can use tool that is larger than U set in SolidCam, or U can Use sketched line as a geometry for smaller part, and probably some more ways to achieve part regardless model dimmensions.
Of course U also can make smaller part and 1:1 separately in SW.
That depends on what U do and what is comfortable to U..

As for probing I just don't understand what U asking about...

I'd do first milling in cam as "stock to leave" (autodesk term) as neg -1mm. This will leave 1mm stock on part all round making it 2mm smaller in total.
Second milling "stock to leave" as 0.
