Default left handed tools in the lathe turret?

Hi guys, can anyone confirm that this video has left handed tooling in the turret?
I'm new to this and am trying to avoid getting the wrong tools.

    thanks in advance!

Yup, right hand tools. But depending on the part and setup, I sometimes use left hand tools if I want to come in on a back face or something like that. But for most turning; right hand.

    Thanks guys!
AutomateCNC tells me the turrets are setup for 20mm lathe tooling, can you guys recommend a place to get a good tool set? Assume I'm starting from zero and need a little of everything and looking specifically for carbide insert tool holders.
I see the 3/4 inch tools are far more common but I dont want to shim it.

My lathe is set up for 20mm also, but I just use shims and 3/4 shank holders. I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a half dozen feeler gauge sets to have a nice shim assortment. Works great.

I bought Accusize holders from Amazon to get started. 2 years and thousands of parts later I'm still using them. https://www.amazon.com/AccusizeTools...s%2C222&sr=8-2

The Accusize parting tool is not great for CNC work and didn't live long, so I bought an ISCAR parting tool holder, not cheap but very good. https://www.iscar.com/eCatalog/Item....FSTYP=I&srch=1

Thank you Jim, I appreciate the pointers. I struggled with the left/right tooling until I found this diagram and then it made sense.

I just saw your location as Sandy Oregon, I used to drive through Sandy, Boring and Estacada to my shooting spot in the foothills of Mount Hood.
I lived in Oregon for 16 years. Fond memories.

    My pleasure.

After running manual lathes for 50 years it took me a bit to look at the world upside down in a CNC turret lathe. Then it finally dawned on me that the carriage was just rotated around the spindle about 140 degrees. Two years ago I couldn't even spell CNC lathe
