    Default DMG

Would be much appreciated if anyone could help. I’m currently working on the machine in the title. Having issues with tool changes. The alarm is in the pic attached. I can re home the magazine position but once it goes for another tool change the same alarm occurs. Is it a software problem or mechanical?

I have a CTX gamma 2000 tc. It looks like you have a tool chain magazine. We only have the revolver with 36 tools so I'm not familiar with the chain type. I would hit the button on the panel that looks like a chain magazine and you should be able to jog the mechanisms around and see if the control is registering the proximity switches. I would say it is something mechanical or a loose or bad proximity switch.

That’s what I thought it was too. Our maintenance team are insisting it’s a prog error even though we’ve run hundreds of parts off using that prog with no issues. Hopefully I’ll be able to convince them to check the switches or sensors at some point so we can have the machine back in full production.

Apparently it ended up been a prog issue & the position of the tailstock. I believe it was a switch they the other shift of disturbed when cleaning the machine. Oh well problem solved. Thanks for the advice!!!
