Default SINUMERIK 840 D GHOST IMAGE RESTORE

    Greetings,

Long story short. We are trying to recover from a HDD crash and so far we have managed to load a Norton Ghost image we had saved. The replacement HDD has 10GB size. while the original HDD was only 170MB.

    Here are the symptoms.

Booting up process goes all the way to showing a partial HMI display, and at some point starts showing "ERROR!! DEVICE UNAVAILABLE" while in the background there are several apps trying to start i.e: machine/parameters/programs/dienste/diagnostics/inbetrieb nahme/CHIRON all of the mentioned try to start and everyone show error respectively after a few minutes.

Any idea what could be happening?

Important note: The Ghost image we are using is not the original from the HDD that crashed but instead is one we made from a very similar MMC102. different version.

    Please help! SINUMERIK 840 D GHOST IMAGE RESTORE-img_20211126_113607-jpgSINUMERIK 840 D GHOST IMAGE RESTORE-img_20211126_113403-jpgSINUMERIK 840 D GHOST IMAGE RESTORE-img_20211126_100707-jpgSINUMERIK 840 D GHOST IMAGE RESTORE-img_20211126_100157-jpg

My German isn't too hot, but I bet it's a driver issue related to slightly different hardware between the two machines.

Do you see possible to alter the contents of the Ghost image with the proper driver(s) ? since we have been able to rescue most of the data out of the original HDD that failed in the first place. `Please advice.
