Simatic IPC 427D industrial PC with Windows 10 RETROFIT FOR 840 D

Greetings to you all,

I would like to have an opinion of anyone that has had experience with this RETROFIT offered by Siemens for the SINUMERIK 840D control. any ideas on how much does it cost? or how feasible ii is? is it something that end users can manage to carry out on their own or is it something can only be done by Siemens experts?

Any info on this topic will be well appreciated.

Also interested. Siemens won't help, they said "the 810/840 doesn't support anymore". So why they offered retrofit?
