    Good morning

On our Shopmill we have several programs that are stated with size 0.
Recently an INI-file with size 0 always gets produced when programming multiple set-ups.
Does anybody know how to delete this rubbish?

    Regards

    Caddy

First of all you should check if the files are really empty ( in the program manager: cursor onto data INPUT)
If the editor is empty, then you can delete the files.
In order to do so, activate the soft key extension over the program manager ">" and select the soft key “delete file” in the right soft key bar.
Then you can press the soft key “OK”

    Hello

If that would be that easy then I would not post this question here.

Ok I forgot to mention that a file that was loaded in the editor cannot be deleted.
So first close the editor or open another file in the editor.

    If is still doesn’t work:

    - Enter a few signs in the file that’s open in the editor and save it.
    - Close editor or open other file in the editor.
    - Select the file in the program manager and press the soft key „delete file“
    - Delete security query with the soft key “OK”

With some software versions of the Sinumerik 810D/840D with hard disk (PCU50 or MMC103) it might be possible to first off load and unlock the file before deleting it.
