    Hello dear community

Does the path subsequent grinding has an effect on the Z axes?

Let’s say that’s how the program looks like:

    N01 G0 G641 Adis=0.5
    N02 G0 X10 Y10 Z0 S5000 F200 M3 M8 M7
    N03 G1 X0 Y0
    N04 G0 G64 Z10

Does the grinding in N02 also influences the Z axes or just the X and Y one?

    Would really appreciate your help.

No, in your example G641 is only effective from the block crossing onwards so from block N02 to block N03, because with N01 you don’t command a movement.
And yes, it affects the path and therefore all involved axes.
If, for example, you would have an additional ADISPOS=7 in block N01.. then the machine would run with 7mm grinding distance at the block crossing between the rapid traverse blocks.

    First of all thank you.

    So if I program:

    N01 G0 G641 Adis=0.5
    N02 G1 X10 Y10 Z0 S5000 F200 M3 M8 M7
    N03 G1 X0 Y0
    N04 G0 G64 Z10

So it could be that Z is not at zero, doesn’t it?

    In the old example ( see above) it doesn’t influence it because it’s a G0 movement and I haven’t programmed a g641 adipos=, correct?

    Thank you!
