    Hello
I am working on a CNC turning machine from Boehringer with a Sinumerik 840D.
Does anybody know how to limit the rapid traverse speed during the program run?

I don’t mind if it’s controlled over a parameter or an additional program block.

    Regards
    Zeaper

What do you want to do?
Do you want a permanent limitation or just in particular movements?

We have a measuring technique build into the tool revolver and it can’t cope with the high speed of the rapid traverse and the cables might come off.
The limitation should be permanent with each rapid traverse movement. That means I turn a contour with machining feedrate 100% and then the following block that is run in rapid traverse should be slower.

However the machining feedrate should not be affected.

    Kind regards

    Hello
In the machine date you can adjust it, in the axes MD simply change the value of te particular axes.
    32000 MAX_AX_VELO
At least that’s how it works on our milling machines

    Regards

But be careful! At your own risk!!
