Hello guys
Today, I have worked with the ‘brisk soft drive’ command- it was all fine so far. However I wanted to have it only for one axis so I wrote for example DRIVEA(AX3): that should be the z axis on my machine.
Now the error message Z1 axis is the wrong axis type. Has anybody got an idea?

Hello John
Try to get rid of the ! - then it should work. Otherwise you need to have a look how the manufacturer names the axes.
Generally about the word BRISK: It all goes a lot faster but it seriously strains the mechanics as the command switches off the acceleration ramp. In the long run, it’s bad for your machine.

Hello micha
Do you mean I should leave out the brackets? Because I don’t use an exclamation mark.
I know that it puts a strain on the mechanics- I can hear it rumble.
I only want one axis to go a long way. Where do I have to look? I had a look in the service display of the axis and there Z1 is axis 3.

Try
DRIVEA(Z1)
I want to add that when you have long traverse paths, you can’t expect an improvement regarding the processing time
But: Trying out makes smarter wink.gif
