Default first problem right off the bat

I Need some help. Im very new with milling machines. Purchased aTree 2UVR from Reliable Tools on ebay. Paid 1100.00. After reading and understanding the manual regarding the quick change collett & tool mechanism, I think I have a problem. Engage yolk & pull handle, but nothing. very very tight. Almost like a built in mechanical stop. I do not want to break the handle. Machine looks like it just came out of service.very well lubricated, tool in collett, fresh chips etc. Beautiful fascinating machine. Almost a candidate for complete restoration. also got a reccomendation for a VFD SJ200-022NFU, quoted at 350.00. seems a little pricey. this is my first post. expertise and advice is appreciated, even if its the simplest of information. thank you

If the knurled nut on the collet was over tightened before closing the collet, it can take a fair amount of force on the handle to get it to release.
Especially if it sat for a long time and was able to squeeze the oil out of the mating parts.

I can't help you out on the VFD.

If it aint broke, fix it till it is.
