Hello people!
I work at Siemens 840d Powerline and I’d like to know how I have to input a rough part definition for graphic simulation for a DIN ISO program.
It’s very easy for Shopmill. But how does it work in DIN ISO?

Hello Heiner,
thanks for the link, but it doesn’t help me.
The problem is: when I input a program from our CAM (Solid Cam), it’s shown in DIN ISO because I can’t translate it into Shopmill. And I’d like to know how it is to do.
Regards

Sorry,
I don’t understand your question.
How is simulation of DIN ISO code concerned with ShopMill?
Do you want to simulate DIN ISO code at the controller?

It work as follows in my case:
Go to the editor, then softkeys:
- simulation
- details
- settings
maybe it’ll also work in your case.

Hello
The system makes a file DPWP.INI during 840D simulation (when quitting).
There’re current data of the simulation inside.
So if you give access to a CAM system, it should create the DPWP.INI file.
Here’s an extract from this file:
[code];*** only SW5.2.5 or later ***
;>>mode of regarding cut change for a grafical tool change
DP_SIMNCK_CCTTC=1
SIMMODE_LIGHT=1
SIM_AREA_ZMAX=.22
SIM_WPAREA_ZMAX=.22
SIM_WPAREA_XMIN=0
SIM_WPAREA_XMAX=250
SIM_AREA_XMIN=-250
SIM_AREA_XMAX=250
SIM_WPAREA_YMIN=-199
SIM_WPAREA_YMAX=199
SIM_AREA_YMIN=-250
SIM_AREA_YMAX=250
SIM_WPAREA_ZMIN=-111
SIM_AREA_ZMIN=-111
RAW=Z
;Default: value 0 = SIM will not change the grafical tool when only a new Cut is
