    Default new add-ins

Anyone notice the new add-ins that Surfcam has on their website. Some of them look pretty handy. But I have to ask, so what are we going to be getting for our maintence fees? Has anyone heard about what Surfcam will be offering on their latest release? The Surfcam website has no info on that.

Some minor crap like being able to thicken highlighted lines…whoopee!
Copy and pasted from an email we got today about V5.1 that has just been released to beta testing:

    Additional Enhancements for V5.1:
    • Improved memory management for 32 bit systems
    • IGES translator has been improved with better entity support
    • Enhanced SolidWorks Associativity with Assemblies
    • CALLBACK function added for HSM to control MIN ARC when using ARCFIT
    • Over 200 corrections in this release

If it has just been released to beta my guess it will be October at the earliest before you’ll see it released.

We let our maintenance expire last month. No more for us until something is done with the UI. The program is a dinosaur and needs to be totally redone. The bugs in V5 make it unusable for us anyway so last year’s maintenance went for nothing. And I suppose we’ll have to pay up to have these bugs fixed!

ask you SURFCAM dealer to get a dowload link for V5.1
If you could run V5.0 then you could run V5.1
