Corrupt File, SRAMxxx.FDB - Sharp SV2412 w/ FANUC Oi-MC
Hi All,
So far, neither FANUC nor Sharp has been able to source the files I need. The control on my 2007 SV2412S corrupted the SRAM1_0A.FDB and SRAM1_0B.FDB files and the machine boots to alarm 935 / SRAM ECC error. Does anyone have a similar machine that can dump these two files and email to me? I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks
Ken

Your memory is corrupt and may be fixed if all memory has not been cleared. I had a similar problem on a 31iA control and I backed up the SRAM just in case it wasn’t related to corrupted memory. After I saved the files in BOOT mode I pressed and held RESET & DETETE while the controller boots up. Then I had the regular screens with everything cleared. Then I went back into BOOT mode and did a SRAM restore from the files that I had just saved and everything was back to normal. Please realize that this is a long shot and if it works buy a lotto ticket. You are going to have to clear memory anyways and this will get you to a point where the controller is back to out of the box and you can change screens. If RESET & DELETE doesn’t clear you system alarm then you have a bad SRAM card in the controller.

Thanks for the input - I tried that, but something like an EOF must be missing or corrupted. Attempting a backup in boot mode hangs the controller (2+ hours...!). Still no response from Sharp or FANUC; I've got a bricked SV2412 until I can get an SRAM file from somebody. :<

Do you get normal screens after the RESET & DELETE? Forget the SRAM files for now.

I have a 2008 regular 2412 with the Oi Mate MC control. I backed up the SRAM but I can't guarantee it would work for your machine. I bought this machine used and I can tell the params have been custom tweaked. You also might want to give Fanuc & Sharp a call. Who knows they might help you (not likely Fanuc, but Sharp you'll have a better chance)
