Got it working. Correct CPR is 256 x 4 and I had to set all scale factor values to 1.
Hi,
So I have an AC servo with a custom commutation encoder installed. Now I'm setting the motor and encoder on ABB's Mint WorkBench.
The encoder is 10 pole commutation 1024 cpr incremental encoder with hall.
In the Drive Setup menu>Feedback page there is an entry for CPR (Resolution). The value I need to enter is probably 1024/4 = 256
However, what confuses me is the data on the pdf of the encoder. The encoder has 1024 cpr however in the timing diagram it says:
(360 x 4) / cpr = 1 cycle (1 rev?)
so:
(360 x 4) / 1024 = 1,40625 cycle
I'm really confused. I need some help here. What is my cpr? 1024 or 360 x 4 = 1440 ?
