You were not allowing for the possibility of a G91 modal state. Most likely why you were getting errors.

No comprehend the G91 thing... But currently that line is disconnected from my G540 because of the trouble I had, figured now I'd wait for this screen set to use the new zero stuff, as the way it functions is what I need. Thanks.

    Thumbs up

Don't know how I missed this thread for so long! I'm still using and liking your Aqua screen set so I'm really looking forward to trying this one too. Let us know where to go to buy it. I'd be up for the 4 axis one, actually wondering whether there's any chance of a 5 axis version?

    Best regards,

    Jason

Can you live with smaller DRO's?

    Ger,

Diagnostic flyout looks great. I will be replacing a few of the leds (dust boot position, tool in sensor, etc), but everything is looking fantastic.

Thank you for working on this for us!

BTW, does anyone have experience changing the colors of the background and toolpath? I wanted to try to make it look like default rhino, with a gray background. It appears when I change that setting, that it is really a "foreground", changing the tint of everything. Just a curiosity...

How many more LED's do you need? I can add some unlabeled ones. All inputs, or outputs too?

You can't change the background, I've asked about it before. You should be able to in the next version, but it doesn't work correctly now. I think I tried it when you mentioned white background a few months ago. I asked on the Yahoo group, and was told "no dice".

It was brought to my attention that I left out the Scale DRO's, which I had intended to have. So, I made a change and eliminated the User Tab.

Also, I found that the TAB flyout I'm using for Diagnostics uses the entire height of the screen, whether you want to or not. So, I rearranged it into a taller, narrower screen. With the diagnostics open, you can still see most of the toolpath, and you can open, close and edit files with the diagnostic screen open.

Looks good, can't wait to get it and start using it.

Does anyone actually use the scale stuff?

    One of my testers does.

I still need to put a "global" scale LED on the main page so you know if you have any axis scaling enabled.

Also just changed the filename to display the name only, instead of the full path.

    Thanks. I like it too.

It's just about done. I'll post an updated pic tonight as I re-arranged the toolbar two days ago.

I'm ready for it. Just hooked up my probe line again and tested the process with the blue screen. Seems to work like a champ. Now to run out and get some new MDF to replace my chewed up table base and embed a piece of copper in a spot.

My intent is to modify the M6 End macro, so tool changes are more "automatic" than with the modified Blue screen.

There's a button for the initial Auto Zero, but the second button won't be needed if you call an M6, as the code will be in the macro.

If you prefer to manually call the second macro with a button, I'll make an alternate version and replace the M6 button with the second button.

There shouldn't be any more changes from this. At least I hope not.

My brain is mush from today. So I don't know if I follow.

But it sounds like if I generate my gcode and it put's an M6 in for tool change, then it would go to a predetermined spot to change the tool, then when that's done I'd hit cycle start, it would take the new bit down to the fixed plate and do it's magic, then it would spin up the router and continue on with the new bit?

    That works for me.

However, I'd like to have the second button in there for times when I might not generate all the code in one file..

Am I following or making sense?
